For the spread of fuel-cell-based energy network, it is necessary to determine its configuration by minimizing the CO2 emissions or the operation cost. This paper reports on the method for determining energy network design. The feature of this method is the combination of linear programming (LP) and genetic algorithm (GA). LP is used to calculate the minimum value of objective function for each candidate solution of the number of energy equipments. These calculated values are used for criteria of selecting the best solution. For each candidate solution, the configuration is calculated using GA, and the best solution is determined. This proposed method is used to determine the configuration design for a microgrid. |
