Implementation of The Disaster Management System for Intermediate and Mountainous Areas

(in English) The intermediate and mountainous areas in Japan equal nearly 70% of its total land area. Many of villages in the areas have a high risk of isolation caused by a natural disaster, such as earthquake. Therefore, in those villages, disaster-proof information-communication systems are required to call for help in case of isolation. In this paper, we propose a new disaster-proof system with use of wireless ad-hoc networking and P2P technologies, and describe its implementation.
