The recent spread of home appliance is improving home networks environment. In addition, a new service platform is constructed by home gateway which is connected between home networks and environments of Wide Area Network broadband that is widely increasing throughout the country. However, there are two critical problems. The first is connectivity between each home appliance which uses different communication protocols, and the second is controllability of home appliances which are not fully capable of network connectivity. We should investigate how to incorporate those home appliances in home network. In order to solve these problems, OSGi technology is concerned as a candidate solution and had been widely demonstrated at “Next generation home network proof experiment 2008” held by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. Thus, in this paper, we described the summary of proving tests and the solutions for these problems. |
