Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A Tapped Delay Line Adaptive Array Antenna (TDL-AAA) is a spatial and temporal equalizer and this feature results in less the number of antenna elements than that of an adaptive array antenna with single weights behind each element in multipath environments. Especially, because 0.5 symbol period spaced tapped delay line yields a robust performance for a symbol synchronization error of the reference signal and has low computational complexity, this structure is usually employed in the TDL-AAA. On the other hand, there still appears to be no study on the TDL-AAA at a transmitter side until now. The TDL-AAA at a transmitter side is important to apply this system to a Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) system. Then in this paper, we presented technical requirements in order to establish reciprocity between TDL-AAAs at a transmitter and receiver side, and we evaluated the performance of TDL-AAA at both sides.
