A new technique to control the pitch of the audio signal without changing the duration was proposed. This technique consists of a time-varying FIR filter whose impulse response smoothly changes over the time. Since the pitch estimation of the voice is not required in this method, it can be used even for the signals of very poor signal to noise ratio. Because of
its simple configuration, it can be easily implemented on the hardware. Thank to the usage of the FIR filter, it can be easily combined with other digital processing (e.g. equalizer, digital reverb, etc.). |
