A body surface is interlocked with breathing movement and repeats expansion and contraction. We developed the small and simple optical breathing measurement technique for measuring displacement of a body surface. Displacement of a body surface is changed into the position gap from the optic axis of a ball lens. Optical joint efficiency changes with these position gaps, and it is measured as breathing information. Displacement of the abdomen by abdominal breathing was detectable as a result of the experiment. Moreover, the relation between breathing and singing was able to be checked from the abdomen displacement at the time of utterance. |
