| (in English) | We are proposing the Active Optical Access System that realizes 10-Gbit/s throughput and secure transmission up to 40 km and 128 users. The Active Optical Access System has to overcome discovery processing issue because an optical switch can not do broadcast. We propose three discovery processing techniques. The first technique uses power monitor on an optical switch in order to discover non-registered ONUs that request to connect the system. The second technique changes frequency of discovery processing according to the number of registered ONU. The last one uses both techniques. Then we represent the first technique is effective to reduce discovery processing time to a traditional method when the number of connection request from non-registered ONU is small. Also we represent the second and third techniques are able to use transmission bandwidth effectively for normal data and complete discovery processing in a short time. | |
