In the present computer aided diagnosis (CAD) system for breast ultrasound, the suspicious object manually decided by physicians or detected by computer algorithm was described by the computerized features. The correlations between these computerized features and the pathological results was concerned and utilized to construct the CAD system. The suspicious nodule was characterized as shape, orientation, margin, lesion boundary, echo pattern and posterior shadowing by physician in the clinical diagnosis according to the definitions in the mass category of ACR BI-RADS. In this paper, the inter-observer reliability of physicians and computer for describing suspicious nodule was evaluated based on BI-RADS. |
