Antenna Input Impedance measurements by Coil-shaped Feeding Cable Coverd with Lossy Medium
Zhengxing Wang, Takashi Arakawa, Tadahiko Maeda (Ritsumeikan Univ.) AP2008-167
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this report, the influence of the leakage current along the feeding cable used during the impedancemeasurement was examined by using FDTD method in terms of the impedance characteristic and the current distributionsalong the feeding cable. The leakage current suppression by the coil-shaped cable section placed in thevicinity of the antenna under test has been evaluated experimentally. Also, the combination use of the coil-shaped cable section andlossy medium that covers the feeding cable has been proposed and evaluated experimentally in order to improve the accuracies of wideband antenna measurements.
