| (in English) | In this paper we present our research works on sign language and braille. First, we describe jaw/SL, a pilot MT system from Japanese to Japanese sign language (JSL) text. The output of the system is JSL text written in jjs-notation, which is the sign language notation we proposed. Jaw is a MT framework based on a pattern transfer method. Next, JSPad, a sign editing system for Sutton's SignWriting, is described. JSPad allows users to use jjs-notation as an input format in order to write sings quickly. Lastly, a practical Japanese braille translation system ibukiTenC is biefly described. | |
