Application Flow Based Route Setting, Its Metric and Effect on Network Quality

(in English) QoS improvement by introducing a traffic control scheme
that uses application flows as identified by application information in the packets is studied.
We consider two routing metrics, cost metric and link utilization ratio.
Using cost metric, individual application flows can be routed through
their own minimum-cost paths. Cost can be determined using QoS related parameter, for example delay.
And by considering link utilization ratio, it can realize the efficient utilization of network resources.
In both route setting based upon application flow, improvement of QoS characteristics of end-to-end
applications are expected.
We construct model on network simulator and performed simulation.
Simulation results shows improvement of QoS, such as response time. And also we discuss
impact of metric on packet loss in the bufferless networks.
