A study on SRS parameter configuration in consideration of channel estimation error for E-UTRA uplink

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) SC-FDMA(Single-Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access) for the transmission scheme is employed in E-UTRA uplink. For effective frequency domain channel-dependent scheduling, UEs(User Equipments) can transmit the SRS(Sounding Reference Signal) periodically. However, under ICIC(Inter-Cell Interference Coordination) environment where transmission power of an UE is controlled based on the OI(Overload Indicator), received quality of the SRS for cell-edge UEs becomes low. As a result, throughput decreases due to estimation error of channel quality. In this paper, focusing on the estimation accuracy of the channel quality, we study SRS parameter configuration, in particular aspect of SRS transmission power. Computer simulation results show that SRS slow transmission power control in consideration of PUSCH transmission power adjustment state can increase the SRS received quality for the cell-edge UEs and improve 5% cumulative distribution function value of user throughputs by 17% compared to the case that a SRS transmission power offset is fixed.
