The TSV model based on the Saleh-Valenzuela (SV) model is employed as a channel model for evaluating the proposed PHY layer schemes in IEEE802.15.3c (which provides the standards for millimeter wave Wireless PAN (WPAN)). The first-wave component is dominant in indoor propagation characteristics in millimeter wave band. This characteristic is very different from that in the S-V model, and thus, it cannot be expressed by the S-V model. Therefore, new channel model was required. We suggested new improved channel model based on the S-V model, offered many kinds of propagation data and MATLAB code for generating channel model. These have been adopted for the evaluation of 15.3c, and have advanced the standardization greatly. |
