The Effect of Visual Distance to Displayed Images in Automotive Augmented Display System
Rie Ando, Shigeru Okabayashi (Meijo Univ.) ITS2008-89
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In case of Augmented Display System, the accuracy of position Displayed Images on the foreground should restrict information contents. Automotive Augmented Display System that is useful to present information of Navigation etc…, it is possible to apply Head-Up Display System. However, eye movements and the difference of visual distance between Displayed Images and driver’s fixation point could cause serious problems about orientation of displayed images. In this paper, we disclose problem of Double Images, and we discuss about restriction on setting information contents. In the result, considering the function of dominant eye, the experimental results suggest Automotive Augmented Display system could realizable by control changed displaying interval.
