| (in English) | The performance of code division multiple access (CDMA) system largely depends on the SS codes. Many methods of generating spread spectrum (SS) code have been proposed. Recently, β encoder is proposed as an analog-to-digital (A/D) converter, which is based on β expansion with radix 1<β<2. It is robust against the fluctuation of certain parameters of circuit elements and still has expornential precision. In this paper, we utilize β encoder as a SS code generator for asyncronous CDMA systems. We have studied the SS codes generated by a Markov chain, but the β encoder has an advantage of having less circuit parameters than the Markov code generators. The autocorrelation function of SS codes generated by a beta encoder is compared with that of a Markov code generator. Their bit error rate performances are also reported. |
