Bit Slice Cryptanalysis of Simplified K2 Stream Cipher

(in English) K2 is a stream cipher based on 32 bits LFSR, outputs 64 bits random number sequences with 128 bits secret key at every process cycle. In this study, we modified the K2 algorithm as eliminate the substitution and the permutation process blocks at first, and applied bit slice cryptanalysis to its simplified K2. Bit slice cryptanalysis divides cypher stream sequence by a bitplane for easy decipher with the Guess-and-Determine attack. In addition, the proposed method extend the estimated bit slices to upper bit planes with full adder and LFSR control procedures of K2 algorithm, decrypt the 32bits registers and the other parameters. Experimental result demonstrated all internal parameters for the simplified K2 algorithm were analyzed in polynomial time.
