Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we present the relationship between the quantitative characteristics of tree-drawing test and the depression scale. Tree-drawing test has often been used in psychosomatic internal medicine as a conventional psychological test, and this test is useful to examine mental state of patients. We analyzed drawn sheets of 142 patients by an image processing method, and calculated quantitative characteristics (gray level and drawing volume). We also examined their depression scale to find the correlation between quantitative characteristics and depression scale. As a result, it became possible to estimate depression scale of patients by tree-drawing test.
