Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) To realize next-generation actionless personal authentication, fundamental study was conducted to develop a wearable sensor for vein authentication. A transillumination image of blood vessels was obtained in a circular light source of epi-illumination. The major inhomogeneity over the total view area could be compensated by the attenuation filter designed from the diffusion theory. The effect of discrete light sources and the image processing for local inhomogeneity were investigated. Through this study, we could obtain the transillumination image of sufficient quality for vein authentication.
