Excited-state C2 emission and sodium atom emission spectra during multibubble sonoluminescence (MBSL, light emission from the clouds of cavitation bubbles) in sulfuric acid under He, Ar, Xe, and the mixture of Xe and acetylene gases atmosphere at 32 and 200 kHz were collected. The comparison of the C2 MBSL spectrum with simulated C2 spectra calculated by the theory of diatomic emission clarified an effective emission vibrational temperature of 7000 K~8000 K. On the other hand, cavitation temperature estimated from sodium atom emission bandwidth is 4800 K. |
