Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation in 10G-EPON System

(in English) Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) for 10G-EPON is one of the most significant function to provide new wide bandwidth applications. We have investigated DBA algorism for 10G-EPON to reduce latency. The 10G-EPON DBA uses necessary bandwidth reported as queue length by each user and received traffic information. To reduce latency, the appropriate bandwidth based on received traffic is added to the necessary bandwidth. In this paper, we demonstrate and evaluate DBA in 10G-EPON System. From experimental results, we have confirmed that the latency is reduced.
