Decoupling and Matching Feeding Circuit for a Multi-beam Array Antenna Using a Bridge Susceptance
Kenichi Kagoshima, Shigeki Obote, Atsuhiro Kagaya (Ibaraki Univ.) AP2009-78
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It is desired to realize high radiation efficiency and low correlation coefficient in order to achieve high system performances in MIMO or diversity antennas. It is effective to employ the multi-port complex conjugate match network for array antennas which can ideally match the impedances between antennas and feeding ports and decouple between different feeding ports. However, the structure of this network is rather complicated and is not suitable for small wireless terminals. In this report, simpler matching and decoupling networks which have one or two bridge susceptances between feeding ports are proposed and network structures and design formulas for the circuit elements are presented.
