| (in English) | This paper describes an automatic aorta extraction and radius measurement based on multiple 3D CT images, which are previously taken before the surgery. An aorta is displaced along the spine so that it is easy to extract the aorta after removal of the spine, which can be extracted easier than the aorta. In addition, the aorta overlaps with other parts such as the ribs on the 3D CT images. In this case, the interpolation between the images and circularity method are used for the extraction. On the other hand, it is not enough to use only one CT image for the measurement of the radius. Therefore, the radius of the aorta should be measured by considering the bent of the aorta between 3D CT images. As the result of the measurement, we have confirmed that the measured radius is correct. | |
