A Reducing Method for Electromagnetic Interference on Electronic Control Unit by Optimization System with Parallel Processing

(in English) With the progress of integrated circuit technologies, high-speed and high density electronic devices have been designed and produced, and EMI problems have become very serious. The main cause of EMI on ECU is the common-mode current on the wire harness. It has been studied that the common-mode current can be reduced through adequate control of the parasitic inductances and parasitic capacitances on PCB. However, because of numerous combinations of parasitic element values, it is impractical to verify all of the combinations to optimize the system. In this paper, we propose a method for determining adequate combinations of the parasitic inductance and parasitic capacitance values efficiently and practically, to reduce the common-mode current, using optimization algorithms with parallel processing by multi-core CPU. Finally, an optimization for an example circuit is done with the proposed method to verify the validity and efficiency of our method.
