Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Polychromatic reconstruction (PCR) is a nondestructive readout method that employs spectrally broad light as a probe beam to read the volume hologram. PCR enables us to reconstruct the whole image even at a longer wavelength outside the sensitive spectral region of the recording media, but it also causes a considerable decrease of the multiplexing capability, similar to the other nondestructive readout methods. However, PCR can improve such reduction by using a band-pass linear variable filter (LVF) inserting an imaging system. We experimentally demonstrate that the multiplexing capability increases by a factor of 2.5 due to the wavelength selectivity of the LVF.
