A Correction Method for Deviation of Signal Detection Point in Range-finding by Using Standing Wave

(in English) Standing Wave Radar measure distance by using standing wave. The radar has a simple configuration and can measure short range such as distances down to zero meters accurately. To ensure short range-finding this radar requires two orthogonal signals. These are obtained from the power detectors set on mutually orthogonal positions. However, it is practically difficult to set the detectors at such positions. In this paper, we describe ranging error caused by nonorthogonality of the signals. We proposed a method for correcting the nonorthogonality, and verify effect of the correction method by simulations. As a result of the simulations, it has been confirmed that the proposed method is effective to correct nonorthogonality of the signals.
