Radio waves from two or more transmitters on a planet are received at an earth station , and the delays among them are measured within an error 0f 0.05 ns. Phase changes among reference frequencies of the transmitters placed on a planet are monitored within an error of 0.05 ns through a satellite orbiting around the planet. A new method to monitor the reference frequencies is shown in this paper. This new observation method has the potential to detect the tides and rotational variations of a planet such as Mars with the almost same accuracy as that in a VLBI observation on the Earth. An observation for the period longer than a year by this method can reveal the internal structure and dynamics of the planet. |
