Spidar-mouse: A Design of Open Source Interface for SPIDAR

(in English) In recent years, with advances in hardware technology, low-cost and easy-to-use micro-controllers like PIC and AVR are developed. It has become possible that any user could develop devices freely. Such UGD(User Generated Device) requires an open environment of hardware are published under a free license. In this study, available as open source interface, Spidar-mouse is proposed. Spidar-mouse is a haptic device, which provides a common mouse with force feedback by mounting the mouse on SPIDAR. By opening the hardware design and development environment, it is helpful for popularizing haptic devices and development of new applications with haptic interaction.
