Verification of Range Resolution Improvement Algorithm of HPRF Radar Which Uses Pulse Compression and FM Ranging to Moving Target
Satoshi Kageme, Teruyuki Hara (Mitsubishi Electric Corp.) SANE2009-137
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In the HPRF radar system, ranging the target is the one of the important problems. However, FM ranging is difficult to improve range resolution because of range ambiguity.
We have already proposed range resolution improvement algorithm which uses pulse compression and FM ranging. In the proposed algorithm, FM ranging solves range ambiguous, and pulse compression obtain high range resolution.
In this paper, we show the evaluation results of the proposal algorithm for moving target and the effectiveness of velocity compensation algorithm.
