| (in English) | We have developed cells with LNF cathode for the SOFC, which is now under testing at NTT. LNF has several advantages including high electric conductivity, good thermal expansion matching with zirconia electrolyte and very good durability against the Cr2O3 poisoning. We improved the performance of the LNF cathode by introducing the active layer consisting of LNF and Gd doped ceria between the cathode and electrolyte. Then we found that the cathode performance can be greatly improved by replacing the GDC by Pr doped ceria (PDC) in the active layer.
