Performance Evaluation of Minority Game-based Self-organized Interference Management

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) To establish spectrum sharing system in which transmitters of a lower-priority system can transmit as long as they do not cause harmful interference to a higher-priority system, a minority game (MG)-based interference management (MGIM) scheme has been proposed. In the MGIM, a receiver of the higher-priority system repeatedly broadcasts one-bit information about whether the received interference level is greater than a certain target value. Based only on this information, each transmitter of the lower-priority system independently and in a decentralized way decides whether to transmit. Simulation results demonstrate that MGIM achieves higher transmission capability compared to other types of scheduling with the same limited feedback information while avoiding harmful interference at the receiver of the higher-priority system.
