Performance Evaluation of Channel Assignment Scheme for Private Radio Access Networks in Public-Private Cooperative Cognitive Radio Access Networks

(in English) In public-private cooperative cognitive radio access networks, WiFi access points of private radio access networks select their own frequency channels arbitrarily. The interference caused by the uncoordinated use of
channels decreases the transmitting efficiency in both private and public radio access networks. In order to alleviate such a problem, we have proposed a channel assignment scheme for private radio access networks, which utilizes a weighted graph to obtain the optimum set of operating channels for minimizing interference among APs. The proposed scheme does not consider traffic dynamics as well as connection status of each mobile station in order to avoid conflict with the other functions in our proposed network, such as path selection and traffic load balancing.
In this paper, we present simulation results of our proposed scheme, and investigate the impact of AP deployments on the achieved throughput performance.
