A note on filter model considering vocal-tract analog model
Hironobu Kawata, Nobuhiro Miki (Future Univ-Hakodate) SP2009-164
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The lossless model of the vocal tract has been used for speech synthesis with the vocal tract analog. However, it has been shown that the glottal wave is influenced from the loss with frequency dependency in the vocal tract. There has been difficulty that the approximation of the loss factor is realized a FIR filter of several hundreds order and the computational cost is high. We propose a new model in which the glottal impedance is approximated with functions and the glottal wave is computed using a linear processing with impedances of the vocal tract or the lung. Moreover, the synthesized waves and spectra are evaluated for the glottal wave and the output speech of vowels.
