Comprehending a current state of Operation Support System (OSS) is an important point to realize sophisticated business operation support using OSS. Recognition of a current state enable various advanced operation support services such as suggestion of next advisable operation or recovery operation from errors, prevention of miss operation and autonomic operation by utilizing the current state information and the knowledge about past operations and state transitions caused by them. However, it is not easy to modify OSS itself so that state information may be outputted, because of the complex and large-scale OSSs due to the diversifying communication services. On the other hand, there is a problem in obtaining state information from the client-side, which is due to a large difference in acquirable state information among various OSSs. Therefore, we are studying a generic method for obtaining state information from the client-side without modification of OSS, independent of OSS implementation. In the method, our system captures OSS screen as an image and recognizes OSS state from the image. The method represents both user interface components which construct an obtained image and layout information as a graph structure. It enables a system to regard state recognition as a graph matching problem. In this report, we describe the detail of our state recognition method and the result of an experiment and consideration. |
