In pendulum test, a goniometer has been used to know knee-joint motions. In this study, we propose a new method to detect the knee-joint motion precisely as a change of angular acceleration without disturbing its natural movement. Two linear accelerometers are attached on an aluminum bar, the end of which is fixed to the referential goniometer. The pendular motion is induced by swinging the bar, and measured accelerometers and the goniometer as an angular acceleration waveform and an angle waveform, respectively. The waveforms are compared each other to study the accuracy of the proposed method. It is confirmed that the proposed method has enough precision for pendulum test of the knee joint motions. |
