In wireless sensor networks, reducing the energy consumption of the whole network is one of the most important research topics. In this study, we define a data aggregation model that explains a relationship between the increased rate of entropy and the number of sensor nodes. Moreover, we propose a intermittent transmission method for clustering scheme. This method reduces energy consumption calculates the transmission probability of cluster-members within the cluster, based on the aggregation model, the number of sensor nodes and the threshold value. From simulation results, LEACH achieves a 59 percent reduction, and CLARIS realizes a 29 percent reduction of the number of transmissions. |
