We proposed a novel method for interlayer crosstalk reduction. This method uses optical device which consists of two segmented wave plates and a polarizer. Inserting a device in front of a detector, this method can keep the pickup size compact. This device is applicable to both 1 beam and 3 beam systems with astigmatic aberration focusing method. The transmissivity dependence on the device position in a focused beam was measured. The experimental result showed good agreement with the simulation. From the experimental results, total stray light in a quadruple layer disc whose minimum layer spacing is 8 $\mu$m is expected to be reduced to about 2 % of signal light. |
