Cognitive radio is attracting much attention for achieving high frequency spectrum usage. In cognitive radio, it is necessary to suppress co-channel interference for protecting the undetectable wireless access. To solve this problem, authors proposed the cognitive radio system with corroborated technique between carrier sensing and transmission power control. An optimal sensing time for maximum MAC level throughput has been derived by computer simulation. But it takes a lot of time to derive it by computer simulation and thus it is difficult for cognitive radio to set the optimal sensing time and then start wireless communication, instantaneously. In this paper, we derive the optimal sensing time for maximal MAC level throughput by theoretical analysis approch. |
