(in English) PON(Passive Optical Network) architecture is one of the most cost effective broadband solutions. Therefore, the 1G-EPON systems has been widely deployed for FTTH services. For next generation access networks, IEEE has completed 10G-EPON standardization. A 10Gbps based burst-mode CDR (Clock and Data Recovery) is one of the most important devices for implementing the 10G-EPON system and we have already reported it using sampling techniques.
The 1G/10G coexistence technologies are strongly required from the network migration point of view. Then we consider the integrated dual rate CDR supports 1.25-Gbps upstream signal using 10G-EPON CDR.
In this paper, we propose an algorithm of dual rate burst-mode CDR. Experimental results of 1.25- and 10.3-Gbps burst-mode recovery were also shown.
