Microwave heating has an advantage that it is possible to isolate energy supply equipment from a target by extending a waveguide. In the production of solid(powder) MOX fuels from the spent nuclear fuels, the microwave heating is used for the evapolation and denitration process of aqueous uranyl/plutonium nitrate and the effect is admitted. For making good use of MOX fuels by the future, more improvement of the throughput and energy efficiency is needed. Therefore microwave irradiation behavior of the target toward the electromagnetic field must be grasped and the irradiation equipment should be designed based on these physical parameters. In this research, we evaluated dielectric characteristics of the aqueous copper nitrate and evapolation of water in the circular microwave oven. |
