A tetrahedron has 2 edge unfoldings. A cube and an octahedron
have 11 unfoldings, respectively. A dodecahedron and
an icosahedron have 43,380 unfoldings, respectively.
In this paper, we will find edge unfoldings with minimum or
maximum diameter for each of the Platonic solids. We also
check edge unfoldings from the view point of width, minimum area
enclosing rectangle, and minimum perimeter enclosing rectangle. |
