Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Wireless power transmission using coupled resonance of electromagnetic field proposed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT) is expected for the next generation power feeding system. This system utilizes resonance of antenna to transmit electric power. This system is a kind of an electromagnetic induction in which capacitors are used to achieve high Q. For practical realization, high efficiency, low emission and low influence by surrounding objects are required. Therefore, it is necessary to propose a suitable shape of the antenna. A shape of antenna used in the paper by MIT is helical antenna whose both ends are opened. However, it is natural to use a coil by assuming that the system is magnetic induction with capacitors. In this report, opened model of helical antenna and closed model of helical antenna are examined from the viewpoints of the transmitting efficiency, radiation power, influence by surrounding objects, and influence by conductivity of wire. As a result, we found that the opened model of helical antenna has an advantage of conductivity loss because of its high transmission impedance due to an electric coupling. On the other hands, we found that the closed model of helical antenna has a benefit of long working distance, low emission, and low influence of surrounding objects.
