In a plant with load-fluctuations, it is difficult to detect the abnormality because the normal values are not
constant. It is, however, possible to detect the abnormality of a plant with load-fluctuations if the normal values can be
predicted. In this study, database model (DB model) is used for prediction of normal values of a plant. The accuracy of the prediction using DB model is related to the quality and quantity of the normal historical data accumulated in the database. Therefore, we assume the accuracy of the prediction by a cross-validation. Then, fault detection is performed using the accuracy of the prediction and sequential probability ratio test. The effectiveness of this approach is demonstrated through numerical simulations of the boiler plant. |
