A high-speed method for generating translucent muti window image using GPGPU

(in English) In this study, a translucent multi window generating method using GPGPU is proposed aiming at high-speed window operation.
This method is based on the idea of the interoperation to make GPGPU for generating a multi window image and OpenGL for displaying the image work together by mapping PBO of OpenGL to the memory space of CUDA.
All windows are categorized into three kinds : the target of window operations, non target of window operations and background.
Translucent operation among these three kinds of windows is executed at high speed using the parallelism of GPU.
And then we propose three techniques of implementing the system on GPU :
(1)a host transfers data to device memory space directly,
(2)a host transfers data to device memory space using the mapped memory technique,
(3)a host transfers data to device memory space via PBO.
we installed these techniques in to ION made by NVIDIA, and measured the execution time of the window operations.
According to this result, compared with the existing a multi window system, the execution time in the proposed system is about between one-sixth and one-fourth.
