Energy Efficient Network Design Based on Mathematical Programming -- Global Optimization Model and Demand Partition Problems --

(in English) Power consumption in networks has been increasing because of traffic growth. Meanwhile, network systems often have too many resources to ensure traffic accommodation. Therefore, the optimal deployment of network resources is expected to reduce the network power consumption. In this paper, we aim to design an energy-aware network structure based on a mathematical programming problem, and propose a global optimization model and the design method which can divide the problem according to scale of the target network. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method by simulations.
