The purpose of this study is to develop a system recognizing warning sounds. The system estimates the fundamental frequency of warning sounds and identifies the category of sounds, i.e. horn, embulance, fire engine or patrol car. We conducted experiments, in which single source or two mixed sources are inputted to the system. As a result, the proposed system can recognize warning sounds in the noisy environment of SNR0dB. Also , the proposed system can estimate the fundamental frequency of an embulance siren recorded outside which changes by Doppler effect. |
