Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Amplitude modulation of alpha band rhythm caused by motion perception and anticipation are measured by magnetoencephalography. Visual mimic collision and two kinds of control stimuli were presented to 6 subjects. A cue stimulus was given two seconds before each stimulus in order that subjects could anticipate coming stimulus (motion or control). After the motion perception, the amplitude of the rhythm rose rapidly. Under unpredictable condition, the amplitude rose significantly slower. Source of the amplitude modulation were estimated to be located in occipital, slightly superior region.
