Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The electrical contact is wideband noise source. But the electrical contact is essential device for the electrical circuit switching. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the reliability and the electromagnetic compatibility. In this paper, the effect of holder temperature on bridge and arc at slowly breaking contact is discussed experimentally. Especially, the holder temperature dependency of the electrode gap, at which the arc-phase is changed, is quantified. In the experimental results, 1) the temperature rise of the holder increases arc duration. 2) The temperature dependence of the ratio of the metallic and gaseous phases is different by the magnitude of electric current. 3) When holder temperature rises, the length at bridge broken becomes longer and the arc ignition point becomes slow. 4) The possibility that the characteristic of the arc was affected by neighboring temperature was suggested. It is investigated that the thermal effect optimization is essential for view point of EMC.
