| (in English) | In general, there are differences of core-material composition of low-loss optical fibers between visible wavelength region and near infrared region. Core material of a low-loss fiber in visible region is composed of high-OH silica glass. On the contrary, Core material of a low-loss fiber in near infrared region is composed of low-OH silica glass. New low-loss large core fiber over wide wavelength range has been developed by improving of fabrication method of over cladding and other process. The fibers are especially expected to be used in spectroscopy. |
