Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Traction Force Microscopy (TFM) is a method for estimating forces on a cell by measuring the variations
of beads located around the cell. This is mathematically an inverse problem and can be solved by Bayesian
estimation. We introduce a prior distribution to the forces based on a structure of the cell and estimated the forces
using the EM algorithm. The computer experiments with synthetic data as well as real data showed the effectiveness
of our proposed method.
