Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In the analysis of the multiconductor transmission lines, the propagation mode decomposition theory is useful for the characterization of a qualitative wave propagation characteristics.
Here, the mode decomposition of multiconductor lossy transmission lines in inhomogeneous medium is considered.
In this case, the mode transformation matrix in the frequency domain is a function of the frequency and mode decomposition is not completely possible in the time-domain.
Moreover, it is shown to be able to define the mode transformation matrix by arbitrarily specifying the characteristic impedance of each mode.
